Aloha

Aloha, friends.
Today I'm sharing a tropical card made with the Inspired by Stamping plumerias stamp set.

Here is a step-by-step photo instruction on how I've created this card.
First I've made the background panel using watercolor paper, distress markers and a acrylic block.

With the distress markers and ink I draw sections/lines on the acrylic block, some overlapping and spritz some water on it.

Then I placed the waterpaper on the block and pushed.
After taking the paper off the block I dapped some of the areas and used my heat gun to dry the ink.

I die cut a rectangular panel also from waterpaper and placed it on the watercolored background. I used a few double sided tapes to hold the two peices together.
Using my mini Misty I stamped the plumerias on the top and bottom with versamark ink and heat embossed it with WOW gold embossing powder.

I took the panel off the background and watercolored the flowers using distress markers and my waterpencil.

I stamped the sentiment with pink ink, put the card together and added a few golden sequins.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I really appreciate your comments.

Woodland animals

I've downloaded some free woodland animals clipart and made these one layer CAS cards.
I did the design in photoshop and printed the scenes directly on the cardstock.

I love the  birch tree and the stump.

The animals are very cute!

I also like the simple design. No sentiment was added so the cards can be used for different occasions.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

My heart beets for you

Just a quick blog post for me today sharing an extreme CAS card for the stempelküche challenge.

First I've made the beets by die cutting the beets out of white cardstock. I used a die from craftin desert divas. Then I colored the beets with lilac, red and green spectrum noir markers.

I made the sentiment in paint and printed it on white cardstock. I used two nesti heart dies to cut out the heart shapes and placed them on lime green cardstock using foam.

I do like the color combination on this card and of course the punny sentiment.

I'm entering this card in the CAS challenge of Stempelküche.

Thanks for stopping by.

Bridal hairpin with foamiran flowers

When I read about the new challenge at foamiran Ireland  hair decoration with white foamiran flowers I went searching on the internet for some ideas because I never made something like that before. A whole new world was revealed to me, the world of bridal hair decoration with beautiful s of bead sprays.
I watched a few video tutorials and luckily I had all the necessary tools, beads and wire in my stock.
It did not take me a long time to create this simple hair pin.

First I made the beads sprays.
Then I made the foamiran flowers. I only had a few scraps of white foamiran so two little flowers and one larger flower was all. The large flower is made with the Rosy Owl Flower Die AC1 (the smallest die) and the two little flowers are made with a die from craftin desert divas.
I also attached a fabric leave to the pin.

Thanks to my daughter for being the model.
I'm glad how the hairpin turned out and I'm planning to make some more in different colors.

I'm entering this project in the second challenge at Foamiran Ireland.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a nice day.

Hugs, Henriette.

So Suzy Stamps love you card

I've created another card with the  "love you" sentiment from the  So Suzy Stamps April release .

The heart stamp is also from So Suzy stamp, I'm not sure if it's available anymore.

Here is a step-by-step instruction.

First I stamped the heart on different colors cardstock with versamark ink en heat embossed them with Ranger weathered white embossing powder. Then I cut out all the hearts.

I placed the hearts on a light grey cardstock square with foamtape and added a few droplets.

I die cut a rectangle using my cuttlebug.

Using my misti I stamped the sentiment  with black ink and also the heart and heat set it with clear embossing powder.

I glued the light grey square on a dark grey top fold card.

More inspiration from the Design team on the So Suzy Stamps blog.
