Foamiran chrysanthemum

I've made another foamiran flower and this time it's a chrysanthemum or dahlia kind of flower.

I watched a (Russian) video tutorial on you tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkoBGDAZe1I to learn how to make this kind of flower and there are also some templates links.

First I cut out all the leaves and colored them with pink oil pastels.
For a full flower you do have to cut out about 9 to 12 pieces per leave. I cut a few less and the flower in the video is more full then mine is.

First leaves are on

Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a wonderful day.

More Foamiran flowers

I've been making some more foamiran flowers, this time cute little jasmine flowers and used them on a clean and simple card.

The sentiment stamp is from the new So Suzy Stamps  release and perfect for this CAS card.

I would like to enter this card in these challenges:

simon says stamp: showers and/or flowers

So Suzy Stamps April Release

The whole month of April So Suzy Stamps is celebrating their 3th birthday and today (on the actual birthday) there is a new release out. Some of the stamps in this release are designed by our very own team member Olesya.

I used this cute love birds  stamp to make a wedding card.

No automatic alt text available.

I'm sorry for not having step-by-step photo's but it is a pretty easy card to make.
I stamped the image with versamark ink and used gold embossing powder to heat set. I used a die to cut out the heart shape.
The card has a romantic feel with all the flowers, pearls, lace, scalloped doily and wooden hearts.
The background paper is from stampin up.

The sentiment I made in paint and printed on creme cardstock.
This stamp is perfect for a wedding card, I just love the curly tails and how they connect.
More examples from the new release on the So Suzy Stamps blog  there you'll find all the links to blogs of the other DT members.

I'll be back soon with more cards using the April release stamps.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs, Henriette.

Foamiran Flowers

I first came across foamiran flowers just a few weeks ago. How is it that I did not know about this before?
I purchased some foam sheets from the UK (too bad I couldn't find them here in the Netherlands).

I watched some great tutorials on you tube and made my first flowers.

and then some more

and then some different ones

and today these cuties

They look so cute and aren't at all difficult to make.

I will be making more flowers in the future and use them on my cards and other projects.

Update 19 april 2017:

I've made this big flowers. I did cut all leaves by hand. The flower is about 11 cm in diameter.

and is one of my favorite flowers; a peony.

Thanks for stopping by.
